Calvary Men's Retreat

This is an opportunity for the men to spend time together at the beautiful Lake Coleridge in the warm modern Powerhouse lodge.  We will have Pastor Ken Dinnen sharing with us as well as group discussion and free time to explore the area and get to know each other better.

Accommodation

The accomodation is really nice, with a warm fire, nice lounge, decent rooms and a great kitchen. The bedding is included in the cost.

The lodge is called Lake Coleridge Powerhouse Lodge and is located at 114 Hummocks Road, Lake Coleridge.

It is about a 1hr 20min drive from Christchurch.

Transport

There will be carpooling options available if you need assistance getting there.  

Cost

The cost of accomodation, bedding and food will be $120 per person for the weekend.  If you can plan on paying a 50% deposit or full payment by  Friday 21st April that would be very helpful.  If you are in need of financial assistance please us know.  Payment can be made to the church account.  Ref:Last Name, Details: Mens Retreat.  02-0842-0050549-00

Schedule

We would recommend trying to get work off on the Friday so that you can make the most of a day travelling to the lodge and settling in to the environment.  The official schedule starts with dinner Friday night. Optional elements italicised below.

12:00pm    Meet at Hororata Golf Club for lunch or coffee. (Costs not covered)

Extras

We are expected to leave the lodge how we found it, and there is an assumption that everyone will be involved helping to some extent through the weekend with food prep and clean up. But many hands make light work :-)

It would be nice if everyone could contribute by bringing some baking for our morning and afternoon teas so that we don’t need to bake while there.
